Parknasilla is a private estate of over 500 acres of parkland on one of Ireland's most spectacular and scenic peninsulas. This estate is exclusively reserved for the use of our guests and with all of these walks on your doorstep, you'll find Parknasilla Resort a haven for activity, relaxation and fun.

Walking is one of the most popular ways to immerse yourself in the beautiful scenery and landscape of Parknasilla and truly experience its individuality.  With ten mapped walks to help navigate 500 acres of lush vegetation and wildlife, the trails are suitable for any age or ability. Walks vary from a 30 minute stroll to a 2 hour hike and we offer guided walks on alternate days providing in depth knowledge of the surroundings and its extensive history. Head Gardener Mike O’ Leary and his team of dedicated gardeners work tirelessly all year round to ensure our grounds and gardens are immaculate for you and your family to enjoy.

To enjoy the delights that these estate walking trails have to offer all you need is comfortable shoes and a desire to explore. Walk around the ruins of Derryquin Castle, spot the seals or bring a famous Parknasilla Picnic to eat along the way, whatever you choose make memories that will last you a lifetime.

Fairy Trail

The Fairy Trail is the most magical and enchanting areas of Parknasilla Resort. Searching for the mysterious fairy houses under the shelter of the woodland area provides for a memorable experience for all the family. We have discovered 18 fairy houses so far and have mapped them out for you to enjoy. Will you be the first to spot a fairy?

PJ's Treasure Trail

Each treasure has a secret letter to inspire our budding detectives to discover the hidden word by finding all the letters along the way. Complete together for some great family fun or compete to see who will be the first to finish the word!

Once finished, drop your completed map into PJ's treasure chest and receive a special Parknasilla certificate!

The Kerry Way

Parknasilla is uniquely located, not just for walks within its grounds but as a jumping off point for more serious walking.

The Ring of Kerry is perfect for all levels of walking enthusiast from those who prefer to stroll to those who seek bigger walking challenges. The Kerry Way is a mapped and marked out network of walking routes of varying length and difficulty. The Kerry Way avoids the higher peaks and opts for the lower reaches of mountain ridges. At 215km, the Kerry Way is currently Ireland's longest signposted walking trail and also one of the most popular.
